What's great and what's not
The location is perfect,, with most attractions accessible by walking! Supermarkets and restaurants are just around the corner.
The man at reception was not friendly, which left a sour impression despite the cleaning staff being super cute.

Everything was good, personnel was very welcoming and pleasant. Single room with air conditioning was the best. The hotel location was good and magnificent right next to the Tirso de Molina subway.

Request a room away from the street for a quieter experience, especially if you're sensitive to noise at night.

The single room is modest with nice view to Plaza Tirso de Molina, mini fridge, as for instance. The location is great and perfect, 2 km from Kapital. There are restaurants and eateries very close to the hotel:)))

This place was a disaster! Rooms were pitch dark, majorly uncomfortable, and the staff acted like they were doing me a favor. I asked for a second blanket, and they barely moved. I expected at least a complimentary upgrade for all the trouble while I was there, but I guess I'm not special enough for that. Just couldn't leave a good review with all the chaos!

Quiet and exceptionally friendly hotel, spent our time here lovely. The staff turned out to be patient and attentive. The room was good-sized and air conditioned, it had a large bathroom.

Hostal Montaloya is excellently located right next to the Tirso de Molina metro station, with many of Madrid's major attractions within easy walking distance. The triple room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable, complete with a mini-fridge. Staff were responsive and efficient during check-in and check-out, contributing to a smooth stay. It was a good value for money, with convenience and accessibility at the forefront.
Street noise could be bothersome at night.

It was just a smart choice for a swift stopover in Madrid with good price-quality ratio. The triple room was spacious and clean, which I really appreciated after a long day of exploring. Make sure to ask for a room with a window that opens to get some natural light.
